CARTEN was founded in 1970. In 1990, Fujikin acquired CARTEN. The official Company name for CARTEN, US was up-dated in 2015 to CARTEN-Fujikin, Inc.

Carten-Fujikin, Inc. has evolved into a global leader in the manufacture of high purity bellows and diaphragm valves earmarked for critical gas and liquid delivery systems. In addition to a wide array of high integrity valve products, Carten is also becoming a recognized fabricator of integrated gas systems installed in current generation of semiconductor process tools. With two manufacturing facilities (Cheshire, Ct. USA and Waterford, Ireland), and stocking locations through independent distribution in the US and East Asia, Carten is capable of serving customer needs on a global basis.

Carten Controls Ltd. established Cartens European operation in Ireland. Constructed new 2,000 sq. mts. facility in Waterford. Constructed new 5,300 sq. mts. facility in Middlebury, CT

Acquired by Harsco Corporation

1988
Acquired Martin Technology

1990
Acquired by its current owner. Fujikin Inc.

1996
Moved to 66,000 sq. ft. state-of-art facility in Cheshire, CT

1999
Expanded European Operations in Waterford by increasing Carten Controls facility size to 33,000 sq. ft.
